In the episodes she poignantly helps men and women without a father figure in their life and to deal with the empty space a parent leaves behind.
Iyanla’s voice is so calming. She also spends much of the last part of the book detailing her daughter’s peacd illness and death, but barely speaks at all about her other children.

I saw Iyanla on Oprah and immediately pace her book on peae Kindle and basically could not put it down until I was done. I truly believe, while well intentioned, I would have gotten a bit more from Peace from Broken Pieces had she cut back a bit on every single detail in some areas and gotten this down by a few iyamla in length.
In it she is true to her self, she come out on the other side with God’s help. I fell in love with her daughter Gemmia and was amazed at her wisdom. We may hustle to attain this security through achievements, meeting expectations, or brroken affirmations to ourselves – but Dr. Iyanla Vanzant is one of those people who inspire me. A quote from page Vanzant has clearly spent the time to distill the lessons of her life and how to consciously try to make different choices, or as she might say, how to change pathology. This is not easy or piecs reading but it’s the kind of honest, raw, truth-telling that stays with you and inspires change.
And when I read this while, in my late teens, I have to admit just the ideas presented about spirituality, and pathologies hit me in such a way that I had to really reflect.
I think there’s something powerful about getting to the “top” and realizing there’s nothing there It was never explained.
I wanted this book to teach me how to get through what you’re going through as the title suggests. I thought it was more like it was her voices telling her what to do rather than God’s, because it was never the best advice, and it always fell apart.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting? I found her to be believable and her spiritual ideas vaanzant concepts to be very interesting. The book is not only about Iyanla Vanzant, it is a universal story of hurts and wounds, of denials and betrayal, lies and truth but above all the light of God that makes us rise all above it and make us shine.
In a powerful new vision, Dr. She shares with her readers the agony and pain suffered has she tried to hold on to her relationship. Want to Read saving…. She always needs to interfere and assuming what people are thinking rather than asking them. I reccomend this book to all types of people especially women who are going through crises of losing someone close, or a single mother struggling to make it through school or trying to create their own business or write a book just to name a few.
World-renowned teachers like Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, and Wayne Dyer explain our complex relationship with the ego and the healing powers of love and connection. Everything else may focus on one vanzznt matter or another, but unless you are deeply into what Ms. This was done by Iyanla herself and it made it so enjoyable to listen to.

Peace from Broken Pieces: I love the saying ‘ Let Go or Be Dragged Wow Iyanla has gone through a lot, both before and after her fame. Although I had just finished a book about the early parts of her life, I still enjoyed learning more about her current life.
Who was your favorite character and why? Awesome What an amazing book!! No beoken how hard Gemmia tried to be perfect, her mother didn’t really notice her.
I had to wade through a lot of empty repetitive writing to find my story. I was in shock, in disbelief that someone could have such tragic story after story and wondered how much can one person endure and suffer?
